Sodium sulfate, derived from Glauber's salt, proves highly effective in treating liver ailments. Individuals experiencing symptom exacerbation in damp conditions – residing in humid environments, basements, or during rainy seasons – particularly benefit. Aversion to aquatic vegetation and fish is often present. Suicidal ideation may occur. Gastrointestinal symptoms include a brown, bitter-coated tongue, vomiting, heartburn, dyspepsia, and flatulence. Hepatic manifestations include tenderness, sharp stabbing pains, and intolerance to tight clothing around the waist. Loose stools, aggravated by wet weather, often feature large fecal masses accompanied by gas. The remedy addresses hepatitis, jaundice, and bilious vomiting. It may also alleviate post-traumatic meningitis and childhood asthma characterized by chest-holding during coughing fits. Chronic gout, particularly toe pain, and a predisposition to warts are also indicated. Jaundice may present with watery blisters.
