Aversion to aquatic plants and fish is often observed. Suicidal ideation can be present. Gastrointestinal symptoms include a brown, bitter-coated tongue, vomiting, heartburn, dyspepsia, and flatulence. Hepatic involvement manifests as tenderness with sharp, stabbing pain, intolerance to constrictive waist garments, and loose stools worsened by dampness.
