Sodium sulfate, derived from Glauber's salt, proves highly effective in treating liver ailments. Individuals experiencing symptom exacerbation in damp conditions—such as monsoon seasons, rain exposure, or residing in humid environments—respond well. This includes aversion to aquatic plants and fish. Suicidal ideation may be present. Gastrointestinal symptoms include a brown, bitter-coated tongue, vomiting, heartburn, dyspepsia, and flatulence. The liver is tender to the touch, with sharp, stabbing pains. Patients dislike constrictive waist clothing. Loose stools worsen post-rain, often voluminous and accompanied by flatulence. This remedy addresses hepatitis, jaundice, and bilious vomiting. It's also indicated for post-traumatic meningitis and childhood asthma (characterized by chest-holding during coughing fits). Chronic gout (intense toe pain), wart proneness, and jaundiced, watery blisters are further applications.
