Savine, also called Sabina, is derived from the fresh, young shoots of its shrub. This remedy primarily addresses significant hemorrhaging. Specifically, it's used for profuse menstrual bleeding, bright red in color, aggravated by movement, accompanied by lower back pain radiating to the abdomen, potentially extending to the thighs and vagina. Further applications include recurrent miscarriages in the third trimester, post-abortion uterine infections, and constipation complicated by hemorrhoids with bright red bleeding. It may also help urinary tract infections marked by hematuria and frequent urination. Skin conditions such as itchy, burning warts are also addressed. Back pain, radiating from the lower back to the abdomen, along with joint pain, may also respond to this treatment. Dosage should be as directed by a healthcare professional; it can be used concurrently with conventional medications. A thirty-minute interval should be maintained between ingestion and other substances, including food, drink, and other medications. Strong odors—such as camphor, garlic, onion, coffee, or asafoetida—should be avoided near the time of administration. No adverse effects have been reported.
