Savine, also called Sabina, is derived from the fresh, young shoots of its shrub. Its primary application is for profuse hemorrhage. This includes heavy menstrual bleeding, particularly bright red blood exacerbated by movement, accompanied by lower back pain radiating to the lower abdomen, potentially extending to the vagina and thighs. Further indications encompass recurrent third-trimester miscarriages, post-abortion uterine infections, and constipation with hemorrhoids, manifesting as bright red bleeding. Urinary tract infections, hematuria, and frequent urination are also addressed. Skin conditions such as itchy, burning warts are noted. Back pain, radiating from the lower back to the abdomen, and joint pain may also respond to treatment. Dosage should be as directed by a healthcare professional and can be used concurrently with conventional medications. To maximize efficacy, a 30-minute interval should be observed between ingestion and other substances, including food, drink, and other medications. Avoid strong-smelling substances such as camphor, garlic, onion, coffee, or asafoetida before or during administration. No adverse effects have been reported.
