Savine, also called Sabina, is derived from the tender, young shoots of its shrub. Its primary application is managing significant hemorrhage. This includes heavy menstrual bleeding (bright red, exacerbated by movement), accompanied by lower back pain radiating to the abdomen and potentially the thighs and vagina. Further indications are recurrent third-trimester miscarriages, post-abortion uterine infections, and hemorrhoidal bleeding (bright red). Other uses encompass urinary tract infections (including hematuria and urinary urgency), skin conditions like itching and burning warts, and back and joint pain radiating from the lower back to the abdomen. Dosage should follow physician's instructions; concurrent allopathic medication is permissible. Precautions include a 30-minute gap between savine and other substances (food, drink, medications).
