Savine, also called Sabina, is derived from the fresh, young shoots of its shrub. Its primary application addresses significant hemorrhaging. This includes heavy menstrual bleeding, bright red in color, exacerbated by movement, accompanied by lower back pain radiating to the abdomen, potentially extending to the thighs and vagina. Further indications are recurrent third-trimester miscarriages, post-abortion uterine infections, and constipation complicated by hemorrhoids, especially when presenting with bright red bleeding. Urinary tract infections, hematuria (blood in urine), and frequent urination are also addressed. Skin conditions such as itching and burning warts are also noted. Back pain, similar to the lower back pain described above, and joint pain are also considered indications. Dosage should be as directed by a healthcare professional, and it may be used concomitantly with conventional medications. A thirty-minute interval should be maintained between ingestion and other substances, including food, beverages, or other medications. Avoid strong-smelling substances such as camphor, garlic, onion, coffee, and asafoetida before and after taking this medicine. No side effects have been reported.
