Savine, also called Sabina, is derived from the fresh, young shoots of its shrub. Its primary application is in managing profuse hemorrhaging. This includes heavy menstrual bleeding, characterized by bright red blood exacerbated by movement, accompanied by lower back pain radiating to the lower abdomen, potentially extending to the vagina and thighs. Further indications encompass recurrent third-trimester miscarriages, post-abortion uterine infections, and constipation with hemorrhoids, especially those presenting with bright red bleeding. Urinary tract infections, evidenced by hematuria and frequent urination, are also addressed. Skin conditions such as itchy, burning warts are another area of application. Back pain, radiating from the lower back to the abdomen along with joint pain, may also respond to treatment. Dosage should follow physician instructions, and concurrent use with conventional medications is permissible. To maximize efficacy, observe a 30-minute interval between savine and other substances, including food, drink, and other medications. Avoid strong-smelling substances like camphor, garlic, onion, coffee, and asafoetida before and after administration. No significant adverse effects have been reported.
