Overview SBL Santoninum 0/1 LM

Derived from the unexpanded flower heads of *Artemisia cina*, santonin is a crystalline compound. This agent proves highly effective against intestinal parasites, including roundworms and threadworms. Its applications also extend to certain eye and urinary tract disorders. Characteristic symptoms potentially alleviated include visual, auditory, and gustatory hallucinations. Ocular manifestations might involve color blindness, strabismus (related to parasitic infestation), and dark circles under the eyes. Urinary symptoms can range from kidney or bladder infections (presenting with greenish or reddish-purple urine) to painful, involuntary urination, enuresis, and a sensation of urinary fullness. Other symptoms include occipital headaches, nasal itching and digging, foul breath, a deep red tongue, bruxism, nausea (improved post-prandially), a choking sensation, and muscle twitching. Dosage should be as directed by a physician and may be used concurrently with conventional medications. Administer this remedy at least half an hour before or after food, drink, or other medications. Avoid strong odors (e.g., camphor, garlic, onion, coffee, asafoetida) near the mouth during administration. No significant side effects have been reported. Medical supervision is recommended.
