Derived from unexpanded *Artemisia cina* flower heads, santonin is a crystalline compound effective against intestinal parasites like roundworms and threadworms. Its therapeutic applications extend to certain eye and urinary disorders. Hallucinations (visual, auditory, gustatory) may occur. Ocular symptoms include color blindness, strabismus (worm-induced), and dark circles under the eyes. Urinary manifestations can present as kidney or urinary tract infections, discolored (greenish, reddish-purple) urine, painful urination, incontinence (including bedwetting), and a sensation of urinary fullness. Additional symptoms may include occipital headache, nasal itching and digging, foul breath, a deep red tongue, bruxism, nausea (relieved by eating), a choking sensation, and muscle twitching. Dosage should be as directed by a physician and can be used concurrently with conventional medications. Administer at least 30 minutes apart from food, beverages, and other medications.
