Golden ragwort (Senecio aureus), also called Life-root or Squaw-weed, yields a tincture made from the entire plant. Traditionally used for women's health issues, urinary, and respiratory ailments, it's considered particularly beneficial for amenorrhea in young women accompanied by back pain, scanty menstruation, and premenstrual symptoms like cough, cold, or urinary problems. It may also alleviate painful menstruation in anemic individuals. Furthermore, it shows promise in addressing kidney stones (manifesting as pain and backache), hematuria, and dysuria (characterized by dark, scant urine and frequent urination). Respiratory applications include relief from loose coughs, hoarseness, dyspnea, and chest pain.
