Golden ragwort (Senecio aureus), also called life-root or squaw-weed, provides the source material for a tincture made from the entire plant. Traditionally, it's been used to address women's health concerns, urinary issues, and respiratory ailments. Specifically, it may help young women experiencing amenorrhea accompanied by lower back pain, scanty menstruation, premenstrual symptoms such as cough, cold, or urinary discomfort, and dysmenorrhea, especially in anemic individuals.
