Golden ragwort ( *Senecio aureus*), also called Life-root or Squaw-weed, yields a tincture from its entire plant. Traditionally, it's been used to address women's health concerns, urinary issues, and respiratory ailments. Specifically, it may help young women experiencing amenorrhea accompanied by lower back pain, scanty menstruation, premenstrual cough, cold, or urinary problems, and painful periods in anemic individuals.
