Sensodin gum paint, a topical treatment, combines antiseptic and astringent components for localized application to the gums. This formulation addresses severe gum infections and inflammation (swelling and redness) by utilizing potassium iodide and iodine (antiseptic and antimicrobial), tannic acid (astringent to contract tissues and reduce bleeding), menthol (local analgesic providing cooling relief), and camphor (mild analgesic). Thymol further contributes its antiseptic and antibacterial action. A glycerin and purified water base supports these active ingredients. Indicated for painful gum conditions, inflamed and bleeding gums, teething discomfort, and stomatitis (mouth lining inflammation), application involves massaging a small amount onto the gums with a clean finger or cotton swab post-brushing. Refrain from rinsing or eating for at least 10 minutes to optimize absorption and tissue firming. Subsequently, thoroughly rinse the mouth, discarding the rinse water.
