Each strip measures capillary or venous whole blood (0.6µL) within a 20-600 mg/dL range, providing results in 5 seconds. The meter stores the last 10 readings. Accuracy is ±15%. The lancing device features nine depth settings for comfortable blood collection. The kit’s lightweight design makes it ideal for travel. Discard the vial and begin with a fresh one if either date has passed or if six months have elapsed since opening, whichever occurs sooner. Second, let the meter and strips acclimate to room temperature for 30 minutes. If this is the vial's first use, record the opening date on the label. Third, cleanse and dry the puncture site. Fourth, remove a single strip, immediately recapping the vial. Fifth, insert the strip into the meter; it will power on automatically. Leave the strip in place until testing concludes; then, obtain a blood sample. Sixth, with the strip still in the meter, briefly touch the sample area to the blood droplet until the meter signals; promptly remove the strip from the blood. Seventh, note the displayed result. Eighth, invert the meter and use the eject button to dispose of the strip in an approved receptacle.
