Softeron-Z Capsules provide a combination of ferrous fumarate (iron), docusate sodium, copper sulfate, and folic acid (vitamin B9). Iron, crucial for oxygen transport and red blood cell maintenance, combats fatigue and anemia. Folic acid, vital for various bodily processes including cell growth and nucleotide synthesis, is particularly important during periods of rapid cellular development. Adequate folic acid intake supports healthy red blood cell production in both children and adults, preventing anemia. While iron supplementation can sometimes cause gastrointestinal side effects such as constipation, diarrhea, cramps, or upset stomach, the inclusion of docusate sodium, a stool softener, mitigates this risk. Docusate sodium promotes regular bowel movements, typically within 12 to 72 hours, relieving occasional constipation.
