Overview Alcicold Tablet

Nasarel tablets offer symptomatic relief from the common cold. They temporarily alleviate nasal congestion and address allergy symptoms such as rhinorrhea and ocular pruritus. Nasarel should be taken as directed by your physician, with or without food; however, taking it with food may minimize gastrointestinal discomfort. Dosage is individualized based on your response and condition, requiring completion of the prescribed course. Premature discontinuation may lead to symptom recurrence and condition exacerbation. Inform your doctor of all other medications you're using, as interactions are possible. Common, usually transient, side effects include nausea, emesis, abdominal pain, insomnia, agitation, impaired motor coordination, and cephalalgia. Report any concerning side effects immediately. Drowsiness and vertigo may occur; avoid activities requiring alertness until the effects are known. Alcohol consumption should be avoided due to potential exacerbation of dizziness. Prior to commencing treatment, disclose any hepatic or renal impairment to allow for appropriate dose adjustment. Also, inform your physician if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding.

FAQs on Alcicold Tablet

Alcicold tablets contain a four-drug formulation consisting of paracetamol, caffeine, diphenhydramine, and phenylephrine. This blend offers symptomatic relief from common cold manifestations, including muscle pain, headache, weariness, fever, lacrimation, sneezing, cough, pharyngitis, and nasal congestion and rhinorrhea.
Alcicold Tablets include caffeine; therefore, it's advisable to abstain from other caffeine-containing medications or consumables. This includes beverages such as coffee, tea, and cola, as well as chocolate, to prevent excessive caffeine consumption. Furthermore, alcohol (beer, wine, etc.) should be avoided during treatment with this medication.
Alcicold Tablets may cause drowsiness or sleepiness. Refrain from driving, operating machinery, working at heights, or engaging in hazardous activities initially, until you understand the medication's effects on you.
Alcicold Tablet rarely causes serious adverse reactions. Report any allergic responses, skin rashes or exfoliation, oral ulcers, respiratory difficulties, spontaneous bleeding, recurring fever or infections, visual impairments, or rapid or abnormal heart rhythms to your physician immediately.
Breastfeeding is not recommended during Alcicold Tablet use. The medication's diphenhydramine component, an antihistamine, can transfer to breast milk, potentially harming the infant. Disclose your breastfeeding status to your physician before taking this medication.
Increasing your medication dosage beyond the prescribed amount won't necessarily improve its effectiveness; instead, it could heighten the risk of adverse reactions and harmful effects. If your symptoms persist or worsen despite taking the recommended dose, seek medical advice.
Alcicold Tablet use is contraindicated in patients with hypertension, severe cardiac disease, cardiovascular disorders, a history of peptic ulcers, or hyperthyroidism, except under explicit medical supervision. Concomitant use with antidepressant medications, specifically monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) such as phenelzine and isocarboxazid, or tricyclic antidepressants like imipramine and amitriptyline, should be avoided.
Retain this medication within its original, sealed packaging. Follow the storage guidelines provided on the packaging or label. Discard any remaining medication. Ensure it remains inaccessible to children, animals, and other individuals.
