Overview Alerta Injection
Carbapenem antibiotic, Alerta Injection, combats bacterial infections. Indicated for severe infections affecting the skin, respiratory system, gastrointestinal tract, urinary system, bloodstream, and central nervous system (including meningitis), it acts by eliminating causative bacteria. Primarily administered intravenously (IV drip or direct injection) in hospitalized patients with serious illnesses, dosage is tailored to infection type, location, and severity. Treatment duration must be completed as prescribed, even with symptom improvement; premature cessation risks relapse or exacerbation. Potential side effects, such as diarrhea, nausea, headache, and phlebitis, are often transient, resolving with continued therapy. Report persistent or bothersome side effects to your physician. Prior to commencing treatment, disclose any history of epilepsy, hepatic or renal dysfunction, or antibiotic allergies. Blood tests to monitor hematologic parameters and renal function may be recommended. Generally considered safe during pregnancy and lactation under medical supervision.
