Use Botas Ophthalmic Solution only as prescribed by your doctor. Do not miss doses. Report any concerning side effects to your doctor immediately.
If you're allergic to Botas Ophthalmic Solution or its ingredients, or have any eye problems (past or present), tell your doctor before use. Also, disclose all other medications you're taking, as interactions are possible. Do not use Botas to treat contact lens irritation, and avoid wearing soft contact lenses while using it, as discoloration may occur.
Botas Ophthalmic Solution alleviates allergy symptoms by inhibiting the release of histamine, a body-produced substance that causes itchy, watery, red, and irritated eyes.
Before using Botas Ophthalmic Solution, remove your soft contact lenses. Wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them. Avoid contaminating the solution; do not let the tip touch your eye or any surface.
Use Botas Ophthalmic Solution as your doctor directs. Continue using it for the prescribed duration, even if your symptoms improve. Stopping early may cause your symptoms to return or worsen.
To ensure absorption, keep your eyes closed for 2–3 minutes after applying the eye drops.
Wash your hands before using Botas Ophthalmic Solution. Shake the bottle well, tilt your head back, and gently pull down your lower eyelid to form a pocket. Hold the dropper above your eye and squeeze one drop into the pocket. Close your eyes for one to two minutes. Avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye or anything else; contamination can cause serious eye infections. After application, gently press your finger against the inner corner of your eye (near the bridge of your nose) for about a minute to help prevent drainage. Repeat for the other eye if directed by your doctor.
If your doctor prescribes other eye drops, you can use this one alongside them. Allow 10–15 minutes between applications.
Remove your contact lenses before using Botas Ophthalmic Solution. Reinsert them 15 minutes afterward. Persistent eye irritation requires contacting your doctor.
