Overview Del Quis 5mg Tablet

CardioGuard 5mg tablets function as an anticoagulant, effectively preventing and treating blood clots. This medication targets clot formation in leg, lung, brain, and heart veins, mitigating stroke and heart attack risks. Frequently prescribed for patients with atrial fibrillation to prevent clot development, CardioGuard 5mg is also used post-elective knee or hip replacement to reduce clotting risks. Administered with or without food, consistent daily timing is recommended. Long-term, even lifelong, use may be necessary; never discontinue or adjust dosage without physician approval, as this sharply elevates stroke, heart attack, or thrombosis risk. Lifestyle modifications—quitting smoking, adopting a healthy diet, exercising regularly, and achieving a healthy weight—further reduce clotting risks. Increased bleeding (nosebleeds, bruising) is the most common side effect; report any symptoms immediately. Additional potential side effects include hematoma, anemia, and nausea. Contraindicated in patients with severe hepatic or renal impairment, active bleeding, or concurrent use of other anticoagulants. Breastfeeding is not advised during treatment. Unlike some anticoagulants, routine PT-INR monitoring isn't required.
