Overview Kenicold Tablet

ColdCare tablets offer temporary relief from common cold symptoms, including nasal congestion. They also alleviate allergy symptoms such as rhinorrhea and ocular pruritus. Dosage and duration of ColdCare should strictly follow your physician's instructions, tailored to your individual response and condition. Discontinuing treatment prematurely may lead to symptom recurrence and potential worsening. Inform your doctor about all other medications you are using, as interactions are possible. Common, typically transient side effects include nausea, diarrhea, emesis, xerostomia, insomnia, akathisia, lassitude, and cephalgia. Report any concerning side effects immediately. Drowsiness and vertigo are potential effects; avoid driving or activities requiring alertness until their impact is known. Alcohol consumption should be avoided due to potential exacerbation of dizziness. Prior to use, disclose any hepatic or renal impairment for appropriate dosage adjustment. Pregnancy, pregnancy planning, or lactation should also be reported. Note: Per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, ColdCare is contraindicated in individuals under 12 years of age.

FAQs on Kenicold Tablet

Kenicold Tablet combines caffeine, cetirizine, nimesulide, paracetamol, and phenylephrine to alleviate common cold symptoms such as body aches, headache, fatigue, fever, watery eyes, sneezing, cough, sore throat, and nasal congestion.
Breastfeeding while taking Kenicold Tablets, which contain the antihistamine cetirizine, is not recommended. Cetirizine can transfer to breast milk and potentially harm your baby. If prescribed Kenicold, be sure to tell your doctor you're breastfeeding.
Kenicold Tablets, containing Paracetamol and Nimesulide, can harm the liver, particularly at higher than recommended doses. Alcohol should be avoided while taking this medication to prevent further liver damage. Patients with pre-existing liver disease should not use Kenicold. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience symptoms of liver damage, such as fever, rash, appetite loss, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, abdominal pain, dark urine, jaundice (yellow skin or eyes), or abnormal liver enzyme levels.
Kenicold Tablets contain caffeine; therefore, avoid additional caffeine from foods such as coffee, tea, cola, and chocolate to prevent excessive intake. High caffeine levels can lead to sleep disturbances, tremors, and chest discomfort. Alcohol consumption (beer, wine, etc.) should also be avoided while using this medication.
Kenicold Tablets can cause drowsiness or sleepiness, potentially affecting your ability to perform daily tasks. Refrain from driving, operating machinery, working at heights, or engaging in hazardous activities until you understand the medication's effects on you. Report any drowsiness or sleepiness to your doctor.
Kenicold Tablet rarely causes serious side effects. However, immediately report any allergic reactions, skin rash or peeling, mouth sores, breathing difficulties, unusual bleeding, recurring fevers or infections, vision problems, or rapid or irregular heartbeat. While infrequent, these side effects warrant prompt medical attention.
Increased dosages beyond recommendations won't necessarily improve effectiveness; instead, they heighten the risk of serious side effects and toxicity. If your symptoms worsen despite taking the recommended dose, consult your doctor for reassessment.
Store this medication in its original, tightly closed container, following the storage instructions on the packaging. Discard any unused medication and keep it out of reach of children, pets, and others.
