Overview Lymol Suspension

PediaTemp Suspension is a frequently used medication to alleviate pain and reduce elevated body temperature. In children, it addresses symptoms such as headache, toothache, muscle aches, fever, and the common cold. Administer PediaTemp Suspension orally, ideally at the same time each day. While it can be taken with or without food, post-meal administration is preferred to minimize potential stomach irritation. Dosage and treatment duration are determined by your child's age, weight, and illness severity; strictly follow your pediatrician's instructions. If your child vomits within 30 minutes, allow them to settle and repeat the dose. Avoid re-administering if vomiting occurs after 30 minutes. Never combine PediaTemp Suspension with other medications containing acetaminophen (paracetamol), as this can lead to overdose and serious complications including liver damage (hepatotoxicity). Always check the ingredients of any other medicine before giving it concurrently. Generally, this medication is well-tolerated; however, some children may experience temporary indigestion, nausea, or vomiting. Consult your physician if these effects become persistent. While generally safe and effective, this medicine may not be appropriate for all children. Inform your doctor if your child has a blood disorder, medication allergies, birth defects, liver problems, or kidney issues. This information helps your doctor assess appropriate dosage and suitability.

FAQs on Lymol Suspension

Administer medication precisely as your doctor directs, considering your child's age and the medication's strength. Refer to the product label or enclosed leaflet for dosage instructions. A typical dose is 10-15 mg/kg every 4-6 hours, but always consult your child's doctor if unsure.
Lymol Suspension typically begins working within an hour, reaching its peak effect in 3–4 hours. Improvement should be seen after several doses; however, if symptoms persist, contact your child's doctor promptly.
Administer this medication if your child's temperature reaches 38.3°C (101°F) or above. However, always consult your child's doctor beforehand.
Persistent fever despite initial medication suggests a possible viral or bacterial infection. Consult your child's doctor for appropriate treatment.
Take no more than four doses of Lymol Suspension within 24 hours, spaced at least 4-6 hours apart. Do not exceed three days of use without consulting your doctor. A dose exceeding 250 mg/kg can be toxic and potentially fatal, causing serious liver and kidney damage. Immediately contact your doctor if you suspect an overdose, even if your child appears well, due to the risk of delayed liver injury.
Maintain your child's regular, balanced diet while they're taking this medication, unless otherwise advised by their doctor. Poor nutrition may increase the risk of medication toxicity.
Store this medication at room temperature, in a dry place, and out of children's reach.
If your child has malnutrition, G6PD deficiency, liver disease, or allergies, use Lymol Suspension cautiously. Always inform your doctor of your child's complete medical history to ensure the medication's safety.
Lymol Suspension generally doesn't interact negatively with vaccines or cause adverse reactions in recently vaccinated children. It's advisable, however, to wait until your child has recovered from their illness and completed their Lymol course before administering the vaccine. Once your child is well, the vaccine can and should be given.
