Overview Mactor F Tablet
LipiComb F tablets combine two lipid-reducing agents. Prescribed when dietary modifications (such as a low-fat diet) prove insufficient, it lowers cholesterol and triglyceride blood levels, mitigating heart disease risk. LipiComb F can be administered with or without food, ideally at the same time daily for consistent dosing. Dosage is personalized by your physician based on lipid levels and response. While high cholesterol and triglycerides often present without symptoms, discontinuing treatment elevates lipid levels, worsening the condition and increasing stroke and heart disease risks. Regular lipid profile monitoring is essential. Treatment comprises this medication alongside a healthy low-fat diet, regular exercise, smoking cessation, moderate alcohol consumption, and weight management. Maintain a generally healthy diet, minimizing high-fat foods. Common, typically transient, side effects include nausea, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, constipation, headache, sleep disturbances, flatulence, and myalgia. Persistent side effects, jaundice, unusual bleeding or bruising, or recurrent/severe muscle pain warrant immediate medical attention. Periodic liver function testing may be recommended. This medication is contraindicated in liver disease (e.g., abnormal liver function tests, persistent jaundice). Inform your physician of kidney issues, pregnancy, pregnancy plans, or breastfeeding. Diabetics should monitor blood glucose levels as LipiComb F may elevate blood sugar.
