Overview Melose Injection
Aquasol, a water-soluble ophthalmic solution, finds frequent application in ocular surgery. Administered via intraocular injection during procedures, it establishes and sustains an expanded anterior chamber, providing surgeons with a clear, stable surgical field. Aquasol acts as a protective agent, safeguarding delicate corneal and lenticular structures from potential trauma inflicted by surgical instruments, and simultaneously functions as a lubricant, minimizing friction and promoting smoother surgical manipulation. Generally well-tolerated with minimal side effects, Aquasol may, in rare instances, induce a temporary elevation in intraocular pressure post-operatively. Report any unusual symptoms to your physician. Post-operative intraocular pressure will be closely monitored, and appropriate intervention will be implemented should a significant increase occur. Patients with documented hypersensitivity to any constituent of Aquasol should not receive this medication.
