Prior to commencing treatment, G6PD deficiency testing for your child is recommended. Administering Nor M Suspension should be avoided in children with G6PD deficiency, as this enzyme deficiency may cause hemolysis and potentially severe anemia.
Administering Nor M Suspension concurrently with cough and cold preparations is contraindicated. Nor M Suspension may interact adversely with alcohol present in some cough syrups, inducing a disulfiram-like reaction.
