Onice-CT Cream combines four active ingredients—terbinafine, clobetasol propionate, ofloxacin, and ornidazole—to combat diverse skin infections. Terbinafine's antifungal action disrupts fungal cell wall synthesis, inhibiting their growth. Clobetasol propionate, a corticosteroid, reduces inflammation by suppressing prostaglandin production, thereby alleviating redness, swelling, and itching. Ofloxacin, a bactericidal antibiotic, interferes with bacterial DNA replication and repair, leading to their demise. Similarly, ornidazole, another antibiotic, eliminates a broader spectrum of infectious agents, including bacteria, by causing DNA damage.
