Overview Petpanta Injection
Gastric acid secretion is reduced by the intravenous medication, Acidex Injection. Indicated for treating stomach and intestinal conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease, peptic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, it alleviates symptoms and aids healing. Acidex Injection also prevents stress ulcers in critically ill patients and is pre-anesthetically administered to mitigate aspiration risks. Classified as a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), it's administered intravenously by a healthcare provider only when deemed superior to oral forms by your physician. Dosage is individualized based on your condition and response. Treatment duration is determined by your doctor; continue as prescribed, even with rapid symptom resolution. Enhance treatment efficacy by consuming smaller, more frequent meals, and avoiding caffeine, spicy, and fatty foods. Common, usually mild, side effects include nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, gas, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and thrombophlebitis (vein inflammation). Persistent or bothersome side effects warrant medical attention. Prolonged use, particularly exceeding one year, may increase bone fracture risk, especially at higher doses. Discuss bone health (osteoporosis) prevention, such as calcium and vitamin D supplementation, with your doctor. Acidex Injection is contraindicated for individuals with severe liver impairment, those on HIV medications, those with a history of PPI allergy, or existing osteoporosis. Pregnant or lactating women should consult their physician. Alcohol should be avoided due to its acid-stimulating effects. Refrain from operating machinery if dizziness or drowsiness occurs.
