Risperidone 3mg tablets treat schizophrenia (a mental illness causing hallucinations, delusions, and impaired thinking/behavior) and manic episodes. Administer this medication with or without food, ideally at bedtime, but consistently at the same time daily for consistent blood levels. Follow your doctor's prescribed dosage and duration. If a dose is missed, take it immediately upon recall. Never abruptly discontinue this medication without consulting your physician, as symptom exacerbation may occur.
