It also helps minimize clot risks post-knee or hip replacement surgery. This tablet can be ingested with or without food, ideally at the same time daily for optimal efficacy. Long-term use, sometimes lifelong, may be necessary. Discontinuing or altering the dosage without consulting your physician is strongly discouraged, as it significantly increases the risk of stroke, heart attack, or thrombosis. Lifestyle modifications, such as a healthy diet, regular exercise, weight management, and smoking cessation, further reduce clot risk.
