How Rolosol Liniment works:
Diclofenac diethylamine, a variant of the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) diclofenac, inhibits the production of inflammatory mediators responsible for pain and cutaneous inflammation (redness and swelling). Capsaicin-based rubefacients also provide analgesia; capsaicin achieves this by desensitizing nerve endings, thus mitigating pain perception. The rubefacient effect enhances blood flow to the affected area, creating a warming sensation. Menthol, a topical analgesic, initially cools the skin before inducing a warming effect. This thermal shift disrupts nerve-mediated pain signaling. Camphor, categorized as a rubefacient/antitussive, elevates blood flow and temperature at the application site, thereby attenuating and temporarily relieving pain.
