Overview Scabon 1% Lotion

Permethrin 1% topical lotion is indicated for ectoparasite infestations. This medication treats scabies, a skin condition caused by microscopic mite infestation. Its mechanism of action involves eliminating both adult mites and their eggs. Dosage and application instructions will be provided by your physician; always carefully review the accompanying patient leaflet. Apply using synthetic latex gloves, avoiding contact with eyes. In case of accidental ocular exposure, immediately flush with copious amounts of water. Generally, application covers the entire body excluding the head, face, and mucous membranes. Ensure skin is clean, dry, and cool prior to application. Following each treatment, change clothing, linens, and towels to prevent re-infestation. Minor localized burning, stinging, or tingling may occur; however, most adverse effects are mild and transient. Post-treatment itching may persist for several weeks, often an allergic response to dead mites, not indicative of treatment failure. Prior to commencing treatment, disclose any serious underlying conditions such as cancer or HIV/AIDS to your doctor. Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals should consult their physician before use.
