Scabies, a skin infestation caused by tiny mites, is effectively treated with the antiparasitic cream, Teqmite. This medication eliminates both adult mites and their eggs. Dosage and application instructions will be provided by your physician; always carefully review the accompanying patient leaflet. Ensure your skin is clean, dry, and at room temperature prior to application. A full body wash 8-14 hours post-treatment is necessary. While single application usually suffices, a second application, if required, should be delayed at least 7 days. Post-treatment itching, often lasting several weeks, is typically an allergic reaction to dead mites, not treatment failure. Minor burning, stinging, or tingling at the application site are common, though mild and not universally experienced.
