This treatment mitigates the blindness risk associated with CMV retinitis, a severe ocular infection. For external use only, apply Cytomega-Guard as directed by your physician. Prior to and following application, wash your hands. Hold the applicator near the eye, avoiding contact, gently dispensing the gel into the lower conjunctival sac. Mild, transient eye irritation may occur; however, this typically resolves spontaneously. Report persistent irritation to your doctor. Refrain from contact lens use during treatment.
