Xglar Injection is a once-daily, long-acting medication. While the time of day is flexible, consistent daily administration is recommended.
Taking more Xglar Injection than prescribed can cause dangerously low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), ranging from mild to severe. Closely monitor your blood sugar for 24 hours. Mild hypoglycemia, with symptoms like anxiety, sweating, weakness, tremors, or rapid heartbeat, often responds to sugary foods like candy, fruit juice, or glucose tablets. However, always consult your doctor. Severe hypoglycemia can cause seizures or unconsciousness, requiring immediate emergency medical attention.
Store Xglar Injection in its original container, out of children's reach. Unopened vials and pens should be refrigerated, but not frozen. Refrigerate unopened Xglar Injection until the expiration date on the label. Discard any Xglar Injection that has been frozen or thawed. Xglar Injection rarely causes serious side effects. However, severe allergic reactions, including rash, hives, itching, breathing difficulties (wheezing), rapid heart rate, and low blood pressure, may occur.
